WICHITA, Kan. -- Wichita State hit a pair of solo home runs in the eighth to tie the game and got a two-out RBI single from in the ninth to win it, as the Shockers rallied for a 7-6 win over Kansas on Wednesday night at Eck Stadium.
The Shockers (19-10) trailed 6-4 entering the bottom of the eighth after Kansas (15-11) scored a pair of runs in the top of the inning to take the lead. immediately pulled a run back with a solo home run on the first pitch of the inning that made it 6-5, then leveled the ledger with his first career homer on a towering fly ball to right.
