PUERTO VALLARTA, Mexico – Wichita State scored four runs in the top of the seventh to complete a come-from-behind 6-5 win over No. 20 South Carolina on the second day of the Puerto Vallarta College Challenge.
For the third time in two days Wichita State went up against a Top 25 team, and this time came out on the right side of the scoreboard. The Shockers nearly completed a comeback win against No. 20 Auburn last night before falling in extra innings.
Wichita State has four ranked wins over the last two seasons.
The top of the order provided a majority of the damage for the offense.
