WICHITA, Kan. – No. 20 Wichita State scored the go-ahead runs in the bottom of the sixth to clinch the series with Houston behind a 5-4 comeback win Saturday afternoon at Wilkins Stadium.
Wichita State (36-7, 10-1) upped its win streak to 12, tied for the second longest in school history, and with UCF's loss at Tulsa is a full two games ahead of everyone in the conference standings.
Six of Wichita State's nine hits came from Sydney McKinney, Addison Barnard and Bailey Urban. The trio had two hits apiece, while Urban added the two go-ahead RBIs.
