WICHITA, Kan. – Cold temperatures forced a move indoors and an early morning start time but did little to slow the Wichita State women's tennis team, which soundly defeated visiting Omaha, 6-1, Sunday at Genesis Rock Road.
"We handled the faster indoor courts well," head coach Colin Foster said. "It was great to get everyone in the lineup for both matches this weekend and make sure everyone is staying sharp as we look forward to another road weekend."
Despite a 9 a.m. first serve, the Shockers (9-8) enjoyed a fast start, winning in straight sets on singles courts 2-5.
