WICHITA, Kan. - Wichita State softball opens fall competition this weekend with a pair of home contests. The Shockers will host Avila Saturday (1 p.m.) and Crowder College Sunday (1 p.m.) at Wilkins Stadium.
The Shockers return all-conference selections from a year ago in seniors and , junior and sophomore .
Wichita State's season opener will see the Shockers face Avila who finished the 2018 season 39-24. Sunday's opponent, Crowder, went 54-13 a season ago.
Both games will feature a 10-inning format and admission is $5 at the gate. There will be no advanced purchase available with Wichita State students able to receive free admission with proof of WSU ID.
