WICHITA, Kan -- Four Shocker pitchers combined to allow just one hit and provided the offense with two home runs as Wichita State secured a series win with a 4-1 victory over Utah Tech on Saturday afternoon at Eck Stadium.
It is the 38th one-hitter in program history and the first since May 16, 2022 against Oklahoma.
(2-0) started for Wichita State and held the Trailblazers without a hit for the first 6.2 innings. Utah Tech scratched across a run in the second innings on a walk, fielder's choice, hit by pitch and RBI ground out, but did not get a runner to third base the rest of the way against Zang, who struck out eight and walked three.
