DENTON, Texas – A complete game shutout from and a three-run home run powered Wichita State to a 6-0 win in the series finale at North Texas Saturday morning.
Wichita State (22-21, 13-11) avoided a series sweep, which would have been the first time ever the Shockers were swept in an American Athletic Conference series.
After throwing a gem last night with 14 strikeouts and just one run allowed, Barber came right back 12 hours later and tossed a two-hitter, complete game shutout. She walked three and struck out three.
Wichita State managed just three hits in the contest, all three extra base hits.
