WICHITA, Kan. – Cold shooting for the second straight game doomed No. 25/24 Wichita State in a 53-50 loss to Northern Iowa Saturday afternoon at Charles Koch Arena that snapped the Shockers' 43-game home court winning streak, which was the nation's longest active streak.
Wichita State (18-7, 12-2 MVC) have now dropped two straight after starting Missouri Valley play with 12 consecutive wins. Playing its best basketball of late, Northern Iowa (16-11, 8-6 MVC) has now won six straight games.
The Shockers struggled for much of the game from the field and finished at just 30 percent, including 7-for-31 from outside the arc.
