Shockers Head to Missouri State for Fall Tilt

The Wichita State University baseball team will travel to Springfield, Mo., for a fall exhibition game against the Missouri State Bears Saturday, Oct. 5, at 6 p.m. at Hammons Field. The game is scheduled for 12 innings.

The Shockers fell to Nebraska, 10-8, in their first fall exhibition contest Sept 21 at Eck Stadium, Home of Tyler Field. Junior outfielder Hunter Gibson went 3-for-6 with an RBI, while sophomore outfielder David VanVooren homered, leading WSU in the contest.

The Bears are coming off a 15-0 shutout win over Drury Sept. 21 in Ozark, Mo.
