WICHITA, Kan. -- The combination of three Wichita State pitchers held Long Beach State to just four hits as the Shockers claimed the series with an 8-2 win on Sunday afternoon at Eck Stadium.
It's the first series win for Wichita State against Long Beach State since the 2009 season when the Shockers also took two of three.
The Shockers (9-5) finished with just four hits of their own, but took advantage of five walks, four hit by pitches, four wild pitches and two passed balls to score in five of the final six innings.
