BELLEAIR, Fla. -- The Wichita State men's golf team finished eighth at the 2023 American Athletic Conference Championship this weekend at Pelican Golf Club.
Houston (272-278-281--831, -9) cruised to the team title, besting second place Cincinnati by 12 strokes. Santiago De La Fuente claimed individual medalist honors with a 10-under 200, three shots ahead of teammate Austyn Reilly.
The Shockers (292-285-294--871, +31) were led by Blake Lorenz, who tied for 22nd with a 6-over 216. Lorenz shot even-par on the first two days, but slipped out of the top ten with a final round 76.
