WICHITA, Kan. -- Sophia Rohling led another balanced attack with 18 kills, and Wichita State battled past Tulsa 25-13, 17-25, 25-14, 25-22 on Friday night at Charles Koch Arena.
The victory is the sixth in a row for Wichita State and the 11th in the last 12 matches.
It was a mixture of two dominant sets and two dogfights for the Shockers (14-5, 8-1), who came out of the gates in set one with a commanding 11-3 lead that forced a quick Tulsa timeout. Wichita State continued to side out at 71% in the set, never allowing Tulsa to get closer than seven points in the frame.
