ORLANDO – The Wichita State women's tennis team fell to Tulsa, 4-0, Friday in the quarterfinals of the American Athletic Conference Championship at the USTA National Campus.
The Shockers, who end the season with a 14-10 record, fell to Tulsa for the second year in a row at the Championship.
DOUBLES
The Golden Hurricane jumped out to a quick lead in doubles play, when No. 17-ranked Martina Okalova and Vera Ploner defeated Fatima Bizhukova and Marta Bellucco, 6-0. LingWei Kong and Ting-Ya Hsu answered for the Shockers in the third flight, defeating Marina Davtyan and Megan Hopton, 6-2.
