MEMPHIS—The Wichita State men's basketball dropped its Thursday night matchup with Memphis, 72-52, at the FedExForum.
The Shockers kept it close in the first half, but Memphis took control and ran away with the game in the second half.
The Tigers used a 15-3 run in the middle of the second half to put the game at a distance and swung momentum their way.
Ricky Council IV led the Shockers in scoring with 13 points. The freshman also added seven rebounds.
Council IV brought some energy for Wichita State in the second half.
