Shockers Fall to Jackrabbits, 4-2

WICHITA, Kan. – South Dakota State snapped Wichita State's five-game winning streak with a 4-2 win in game two of a three-game series.

Starter went 6.2 innings and gave up two earned runs on seven hits with three walks and a career-high eight strikeouts.

went 2-for-4 with a double to lead the Shockers.

The Jackrabbits used a Shocker error to get on the board in the second inning. Ryan McDonald led off with a single to centerfield and then moved to third on a Shocker error. McDonald scored on a groundout from Dawson Perry to give SDSU an early 1-0 lead.
