WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State's seventh inning rally came up two runs short as they fell to the South Dakota State Jackrabbits, 6-4, on Sunday afternoon at Wilkins Stadium.
SDSU took the early lead with a RBI single in the top of the first inning, but Shocker starter avoided disaster by leaving the bases full of Jackrabbits to minimize the threat.
In the second, the Jacks added to their lead, scoring two runs in their half to take a 3-0 lead.
SDSU continued their good day at the plate in the third inning, adding another two runs to jump out to a 5-0 lead.
