STILLWATER, Okla. – Wichita State's singles comeback came up short against nationally-ranked Oklahoma State in the 5-2 loss Friday in Stillwater, Okla.
and started doubles strong for the Shockers (7-8), shutting out their opponents, 6-0, at court two. The Cowboys (9-3) responded with a 6-3 win at No. 3 to even up the doubles competition.
With the doubles point coming down to and on court one, the Shockers went back and forth with the Cowboys, ultimately defeating the No. 60-ranked tandem of Isaac Becroft and Tyler Zink, 7-5, to clinch the doubles point.
Up 1-0, going into singles, the Shockers got off to a slow start, dropping five up six first sets.
