STILLWATER, Okla. – Wichita State fell in 5 innings at No. 21/22 Oklahoma State Tuesday night, 10-2.
Wichita State (21-20-1, 9-8-1) managed just three hits on the night. drove in both runs on a first inning double. and recorded the only other hits on a pair of singles.
To open the game, Oklahoma State retired the first two Shockers, but back-to-back walks came back to bite them. Epperson laced a full count pitch over the head of the center fielder to bring both baserunners in, giving Wichita State an early 2-0 lead.
Like the Shockers, the Cowgirls scored its first run with two outs in the bottom of the first on an RBI double down the left field line.
