ORLANDO, Fla. – Wichita State fell 4-3 to Temple in its regular season finale Tuesday at the USTA National Campus.
The Owls (19-4) clinched the doubles point, sweeping the courts, to go up 1-0 going into singles.
The Shockers (11-15) came out in singles with four first-set wins, but Temple increased its lead to 3-0 with straight-set victories courts one and two.
put the Shockers on the board with a 7-6 (3), 6-2 win at No. 3 singles, and brought the match score to 3-2 with his 15 singles win of the season, winning 6-1, 7-6 (5) at court four.
