DES MOINES, Iowa -- The Wichita State's women's tennis team suffered its first setback of the spring dual season, falling 4-2 on Saturday afternoon at Drake.
The Shockers (2-1) dropped the doubles point and three of the five singles matches. They held a third-set lead in one unfinished singles match.
Natsumi Kurahashi battled back from a first-set loss to improve to 3-0 at No. 1 singles.
Clara Whitaker (3-0 in duals) scored the other Shocker point on court No. 6.
The loss snapped a 17-match winning streak against Drake, going back to 2006.
