WICHITA, Kan. -- Wichita State battled back from a ninth inning deficit to send the game to extras, but Kansas scored twice in the top of the tenth for a 7-5 win on Wednesday night at Eck Stadium.
The Shockers (24-16) had their six-game winning streak snapped in a back-and-forth game that was played through a steady rainfall. Kansas (20-21) led 5-4 into the bottom of the ninth and was one strike away from nailing down the victory when tied the game with an RBI single to score , who had doubled with one out in the inning.
