NORMAN, Okla. – Oklahoma scored three times in the bottom of the first inning and never trailed, knocking off Wichita State 6-2 on a chilly Tuesday afternoon at L. Dale Mitchell Park.
The Sooners (3-1) used four hits to score three times in the first frame. After a single and a walk, Tanner Tredaway hooked a two-run double into the left field corner to open the scoring. Two batters later, Cade Horton lined an RBI single to extend the lead to 3-0. Chuck Ingram cut down a runner at the plate to end the inning and prevent further damage.
