WICHITA, Kan. - Behind 24 hits and five home runs, the Wichita State softball team defeated Barton Community College 20-0 at Wilkins Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
The Cougars came out swinging having three of the four total hits inside the first three innings. A diving out by Kaylee Huecker and a double play kept the Cougars off the scoreboard in the second before the bats came alive for the Shockers.
First pitch of the bottom of the second saw Ryleigh Buck smash one over the center field before Asea Webber doubled down the left line in the third to get Bailee Nickerson and Kiersten Otte home.
