SEDONA, Ariz.- The Wichita State women's golf team is set to play in the Red Rocks Invitational this weekend, starting the first two rounds on Saturday and playing the final 18 holes on Sunday.
Head coach Tom McCurdy is making a return to where his coaching got started. McCurdy served as the head women's golf coach at Northern Arizona from 2001-2007, becoming just one of six first-year women's head coaches to lead NAU to an NCAA regional berth in 2002. McCurdy finished his tenure at NAU with a Big Sky Conference title, nine all-Big Sky first team honors, 23 Big Sky all-academic winners, and improved the Lumberjacks' team score by 7.
