WICHITA, Kan.- The Wichita State softball team continued its fall campaign with a 21-1 victory over Seminole State on Friday at Wilkins Stadium.
Senior Laurie Derrico led the Shockers with four RBI and a 3-for-5 outing at the plate while junior Madison Perrigan and sophomore Caitlin Bingham added three RBI each. Wichita State's pitchers limited Seminole State to one hit and came up with 14 combined strikeouts.
After Seminole State took a 1-0 lead through the first 3.5 innings, the Shockers jumped out to a commanding lead thanks to 10 runs in the bottom of the fourth.
