Shockers conclude NCAA West Prelims

Two Wichita State track athletes will be moving onto the final round of the NCAA Championships after competing in the NCAA West preliminaries in Fayette, Arkansas.

Senior Michael Bryan finished third place with a hammer throw of 69.32m in the first round. His placement has qualified him for the NCAA Championships. Last season, Bryan threw 66.3m to claim ninth place.

Sophomore Taran Taylor will also be traveling to the NCAA Championships in the javelin. Taylor locked in a second-place finish in the first round after he threw 73.44m. Last season, Taylor placed 24th with a throw of 61.
