GREENVILLE, S.C.- The Wichita State men's golf team concluded the first round of play at the Furman Intercollegiate on Friday.
Wichita State is tied for 16th after compiling a 308 team score. Senior Yannik Emmert leads the way after a 72 in the first round.
Shooting par in his first nine holes, Emmert collected two birdies to come in second heading into the final nine holes. Emmert finished with a 1-over par performance, coming in a tie for 20th.
Brock Polhill came up with a 74 in the first round while Zac Owens finished with a 78 to tie for 83rd.
