Shockers Come Up Short in Hard-Fought Battle in Lawrence

LAWRENCE – Wichita State led by as many as six in a game with six lead changes but came up just short in the fourth quarter as the Jayhawks claimed a 70-60 victory Thursday evening in Allen Fieldhouse.

In head coach 's return to Allen Fieldhouse after playing and coaching for the Jayhawks, his Shockers held Kansas to its second lowest field goal percentage of the season (.349).

Junior led Wichita State in scoring for the second-consecutive game with 16 points, and senior hit three three pointers for the third time this season on her way to 13 points.
