ORLANDO, Fla.- The Wichita State softball team took an early lead against American Athletic Conference leader UCF on Friday, but the Knights came back to score three unanswered runs and defeat the Shockers 3-2.
Sydney McKinney came up with her eighth multi-hit game of the season, going two-for-four at the plate. Erin McDonald pitched her ninth game where she went six or more innings, coming up with three strikeouts in the process.
After a double by Sydney McKinney, Madison Perrigan drove her home off a single up the middle to give the Shockers the early one-run lead.
