WICHITA, Kan. – Wichita State secured its first series win of the season with a 13-4 run-rule win vs. Tulsa Saturday afternoon at Wilkins Stadium.
Wichita State (19-10, 2-0) ended the game in the bottom of the sixth on Sydney McKinney's walk-off two-run home run. It's the seventh time this season Wichita State has won via run-rule.
McKinney entered the weekend as the nation's leader in batting average and hits, and she added to it with a 4-for-5 day at the plate. The All-American shortstop hit the walk-off home run and added three RBI and scored four runs.
