WICHITA – Wichita State track and field opened its outdoor season at home with the Shocker Spring Invitational, winning seven individual events titles.
Zander Cobb gave the Shockers their lone night-one victory, winning the 3,000 meters in 8:31.43, the seventh-fastest time in school history. Lucy Ndungu also recorded a WSU top-10 time in the event, running 9:53.40 to place second.
Freshman Jordan Rider made his Shocker debut in the javelin on day one, placing second with a throw of 55.91m/183'5".
