ORLANDO, Fla.- After UCF forced extra innings, the Wichita State softball team scored three runs in the 10th inning to snag the 6-3 win on Saturday afternoon for its first conference road win of the season.
Madison Perrigan led the way offensively with two hits in five at-bats while Hailey Martinez tied a career high with three strikeouts in her fourth start of the season. Erin McDonald came up with two strikeouts and obtained her seventh win of the season, pitching the final 4.2 innings.
Martinez came up with two strikeouts without allowing a hit in the first two innings, but UCF came up with the game's first hit off a bunt single to get the Knights' offense started.
