BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—The Wichita State men's and women's track and field teams earned five all-conference honors on the final day of competition in the American Athletic Conference Indoor Championships inside the Birmingham Crossplex.
The Wichita State men's team finished fifth overall with 59 points. The Shockers' women's squad equaled their male counterparts with 59 points and a fifth-place finish as a team.
Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Steve Rainbolt said he liked how his athletes competed on the second day of competition, but his team was in a hole after the first day of the meet.
