WICHITA, Kan. -- Wichita State needed just seven innings to run-rule UMass for a second straight day, defeating the Minutemen by an identical 12-2 score on Saturday afternoon at Eck Stadium.
The Shockers powered up for a season-high five home runs, including two from Brock Rodden, and eight total extra-base hits, hanging four runs on the board in the top of the first and cruising the rest of the way. Chuck Ingram set the tone with a solo home run on the third pitch of the first inning, his second long ball in as many days.
