WICHITA, Kan. -- Wichita State managed 10 hits but went 1-for-11 with runners in scoring position in a 5-0 loss to Cal State Fullerton on Saturday afternoon at Eck Stadium.
The Shockers (3-7) stranded 12 runners on base, including the bases loaded in the fourth and eighth innings.
The offensive output spoiled a brilliant start from redshirt senior , who twirled 6.0 shutout innings with eight strikeouts, allowing just three hits and two walks but settling for a no-decision.
Cal State Fullerton (2-8) finally broke the scoreless deadlock in the top of the seventh when a ground ball to shortstop was misplayed, giving the Titans a 1-0 lead.
