LINCOLN, Neb. -- Wichita State lost in straight sets to #5 Nebraska on Saturday afternoon at Bob Devaney Sports Center, 13-25, 12-25, 12-25.
The Shockers (3-6) never led in the contest and were unable to slow down the potent Husker offense, which hit .477 for the match and committed just eight errors. Wichita State was held to an .096 clip.
Harper Murray finished with a match-high 14 kills on 24 swings, one of three Nebraska players with double-digit kills.
Wichita State was within 6-4 early in the opening frame after a Murray attack error, but Nebraska outscored the Shockers 11-4 to create breathing room.
