MESA, Ariz. – The Wichita State men's tennis team defeated Tulane, 4-3, in the first round of the Arizona State Spring Break Tournament at the Kiwanis Tennis Center. The win propels the Shockers into the semifinals to face Princeton.
The No. 72 Shockers (9-6) took a 1-0 lead with 7-6 doubles wins at No. 2 and No. 1. The No. 62 Green Wave (4-7) tied it up at 1-1 with a singles win at court two, but Orel Ovil regained the lead for Wichita State with a 6-0, 6-4 victory at No. 3.
