PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. – Fatima Bizhukova and Marta Bellucco recorded two wins in doubles Thursday to reach the quarterfinals for the first time in school history at the Riviera/ITA Women's All-American Championships.
Bizhukova and Bellucco, who rank No. 14 in the latest ITA/Oracle Doubles Rankings, took on Sophie Whitle and Graciela Rosas in Thursday's first round doubles main draw and Emma Davis and Chandler Carter of Wake Forest in the second round.
After falling behind early (2-3) to No. 19-ranked Whitle and Rosas, the WSU juniors reeled off six of the next seven games to take the one set match, 8-4.
