WICHITA—The Wichita State men's and women's cross country teams combined for four Academic All-America awards, the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association announced Thursday.
Winny Koskei and Yazmine Wright earned individual academic honors.
Head cross country coach Kirk Hunter said he is proud of the Koskei and Wright's continued accomplishments.
"They continue to prove how you can be a successful student-athlete both in their sport and in the classroom," Hunter said. "Based on all I know about these two, I would expect nothing less but excellence from each of them.
