WICHITA, Kan. – After recording the American Athletic Conference's first point-assist double-double and leading his team to a pair of road victories, Wichita State's Landry Shamet was named to the league's weekly honor roll.
Shamet – a redshirt sophomore point guard out of Kansas City – averaged 13.5 points and 7.0 assists in wins at ECU and Tulsa. He posted a 3.5-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio and made 7-of-14 three-point attempts.
Thursday at ECU, he scored 11 points and tallied a career-high 11 assists with just one turnover. Shamet became just the third player in program history to record 11+ assists in a true road game.
