WICHITA, Kan. – Zarrey Sams swept the long and triple jump as the Shockers collected six event wins on day two of the KT Woodman Classic Saturday at Cessna Stadium.
Sams opened the meet by improving her triple jump personal best by over a foot, winning the event with a jump of 12.56m/41'2.5". She came back to win the long jump by almost a foot with a leap of 5.84m/19'2".
The junior from Houston, Texas also ran on the winning 4x100-meter relay to go 3-for-3 on the day. Faith Turner, Sydney Johnson and Savannah Simmons completed the quartet that ran 46.
