Fred VanVleet continued his remarkable basketball journey on Sunday at the NBA All-Star Game in Cleveland. The Toronto Raptors scooped him up as an undrafted free agent after the 2016 NBA Draft and he spent his early days shuttling between the Raptors and their G League affiliate in 2016-17.
From there, his path continued as one of the NBA's brightest success stories. He helped the Raptors win an NBA title in 2019 and kept the franchise on a winning path as one of its leaders after the departure of guard Kyle Lowery.
In early February, coaches voted VanVleet a reserve for the All-Star game from the Eastern Conference.
