PHILADELPHIA - Wichita State brought the highest-profile injury list to American Athletic Conference media day.
Guard Landry Shamet and forward Markis McDuffie are recovering from foot injuries and neither is practicing. Shamet had surgery to repair a stress fracture in his right foot in late July. McDuffie is on crutches and recovering from a stress fracture in his left foot, an injury that did not require surgery.
The timeline for their returns remains as previously announced, Wichita State coach Gregg Marshall said. Shamet is expected back in early-to-mid November. McDuffie expects to play by early-to-mid December.
