Brylee Kelly showed off the red marks on her forearms to demonstrate the perils of playing the back row against an excellent server.
Late in the fourth set, tie score, and Kelly expected to get picked on by Tulane's Kayla Kaiser.
"I like to say, 'dial in,' a lot," Kelly said. "I knew she was going to target me, because I'm basically the weakest link back there. I kind of focused up a little more."
Kelly dove to handle the screaming, diving serve from Kaiser, a serve that frustrated the Shockers.
