Morris Udeze, like all Shockers, knows the wide range of sideline reactions from his coach. Sometimes, Gregg Marshall is happy and often he is mad and he rarely hides the emotion.
After two game-changing defensive plays on Wednesday, Udeze and Marshall locked eyes and Marshall pointed his index finger at him, a gesture that said "You won us this game."
"It feels good," Udeze said. "When he gives you that, you know you did something good."
Udeze, a sophomore center, saved the 23rd-ranked Shockers (12-1, 1-0 American Athletic Conference) as the last line of defense in a 75-69 win over East Carolina at Koch Arena.
