It does not take anything special to inspire Markis McDuffie to laugh, dance and celebrate. Conner Frankamp plays a more reserved role, so the level of special elevates when he jumps for joy and wears a big grin after a basketball game.
"Craziest five seconds I've been a part of, and I've played a lot of basketball," Frankamp said.
Frankamp ended the nuttiness with his layup to give the AfterShocks a 76-73 win over Omaha Blue Crew in the second round of The Basketball Tournament on Sunday afternoon at Koch Arena. He scored 11 of the final 13 points for the AfterShocks, who trailed 67-63 when the Elam Ending set the target score to win at 75.
