Griffin was a two-year starter for the Shockers and the point guard on two NCAA Tournament teams under Eddie Fogler. Griffin didn’t score much but excelled in floor leadership. His 181 assists in 1987-88 ranks No. 5 all-time in Shocker history and his 4.9 assists per game ranks sixth.
