HOUSTON – Jose Miguel Ramirez put up his best performance of the season to lead the Shockers to a fifth-place finish in the Bayou City Collegiate Classic at Westwood Golf Club on Tuesday afternoon.
The Shockers took home fifth place at three strokes under par as a team, with round scores of 290, 287, and 282.
Sam Houston State won the Invitational by a razor thin margin, finishing 27 strokes under par, just two ahead of second place Abilene Christian. Louisiana State individual competitor Noah McWilliams won the tournament crown in dramatic fashion, carding a birdie on the third playoff hole to take the title over Rice's Lukas Boandle and Daniel Zou.
