Playing without its top singles player, the Wichita State women's tennis dropped a dual match to No. 70 Memphis, 7-0, Friday evening in front of a large crowd at the Wichita Country Club.
"Firstly, thanks to our fans for great support and a great turnout," head coach said. "It's a lot of fun for our team to compete in this atmosphere. Unfortunately, Memphis set the tone early and never let us get comfortable. It was a tough day at the office for the Shocks, but not for a lack of effort."
With out due to a non-COVID illness, WSU shuffled its doubles tandems and bumped all five singles players up a spot in the order.
