WICHITA, Kan. -- Florida Atlantic broke a 2-2 tie in the top of the seventh and added an insurance run in the eighth for a 4-2 win over Wichita State on Friday night at Eck Stadium.
The Shockers (19-16, 5-5) had just tied the game with two runs in the bottom of the sixth, getting an RBI double from and a run-scoring grounder from to knot the score at 2-2. But the Owls (19-12, 6-4) answered back immediately when Andrew McKenna doubled, moved to third on a bunt single and scored on a sacrifice fly from Spencer Rich that gave Florida Atlantic a 3-2 edge.
